Graduated from Lewiston High School in 1943 and served aboard the Lake Champlain aircraft carrier., where he was a gunner on the torpedo bombers. He always thought he was the "Best gunner in the Navy."

Bud was a member of the Lewiston Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge, and a deacon in the Christian Church.

He worked at Potlatch Forest Industries (PFI) in 1946, and in 1952 was a traveling salesman for Erb Hardware and then Hahn Supply, where he retired in December 1990.

Bud was was very involved in bowling and golf, and was the association secretary for the Lewiston, Clarkston, Orofino, Bowl Association for many years.

He love to play bridge and be competitive, hHe was very honored to have been ablt to go on the Honor Fligt to Washington, D.C. in 2013.
