CLINTON E. "JACK" FLETCHER, 71, of Duncan, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2006, in Ardmore.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Ratliff City with the Rev. Dwight Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Lone Cedar in Baum under direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Jack was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Walters, to Thomas Hughie and Jossie Matilda Lucas Fletcher.
He married Doylene "Darlene" Greenway on May 10, 1969, in Pruitt City. She preceded him in death July 24, 2004.
Jack and his family moved to Ratliff City in 1942, and he attended school at Fox. He worked in the oil field and also worked in Sallisaw as a transporter for the Department of Corrections. After his marriage to Darlene, they lived in Ardmore, Tecumseh and Sallisaw area for 25 years before returning to this area in 1994. He lived at Pruitt City and Ratliff City until moving to Duncan eight years ago.
Survivors include a son, Clifton W. Fletcher of Amarillo, Texas; and four stepsons, Jerry Paul Gunsolus of Velma, Harold Lewis Gunsolus of Tyler, Texas, Joseph Gunsolus of Linden, Texas, and Ricky Gunsolus of Countyline; five brothers, Hughie Joe "Soapy" Fletcher and Jerry Fletcher and wife Joyce, all of Ratliff City, Benny Fletcher of Comanche, Ralph Fletcher of Meridian, and Kenneth Fletcher and wife Johnnie of Graham; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clifford William and Leland Don "L.D." Fletcher.
Bearers will be Randy Fletcher, Derrell Fletcher, Chris Fletcher, Ray Fletcher, Rocky Chadwick and Ladon Fletcher.
