Agnes Christina Cole (nee Jensen)
Valparaiso -- Agnes Christina Cole (nee Jensen), age 88, of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at VNA Horton Hospice Center. She was born October 12, 1913 in Washington Township, the daughter of Henry and Ann (Thiesen) Jensen. She retired from ANCO in Valparaiso in 1978, where she was an automotive parts inspector. Agnes was a member of the First Christian Church in Valparaiso. On August 22, 1936 she married Howard Glenn Cole who preceded her in death June 8, 1951.
Surviving are two sons, Eugene (Laurel) Cole and Glenn (Mary Lou) Cole of Valparaiso; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and lifelong friend and neighbor, Bertha Phillips. Her parents and a brother, John Henry Jensen preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 21, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Rev. David Kovalow-St. John officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2002, 4 to 8 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 1507 Glendale, Valparaiso or the VNA Horton Hospice Center, 501 Marquette Street, Valparaiso.
