Pauline Stavely was born December 4, 1924 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the daughter of Myrtle Ann Pierce Burrisand James "Paul" Burris. She passed away on August 21, 2014 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was 89.

She was married to W.S. "Bill" Stavely on October 30, 1945 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma for over 50 years, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, member of Sequoyah Couty OSU Extention Homemakers and was involved with Rainbow Girls.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, one son, one son-in-law, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three brothers, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Martha Reed, Vera Newton and Patsy Bellinger, brothers: Paul "Buddy" Burris, Don Burris and Kurt Burris.

Visitation will be on Saturday from Noon to 8:00 pm and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Family will greet from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Sallisaw. Interment will be in the Sallisaw City Cemetery. Rev. Dianah Gourley will officiate.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lyle Burris, Lynn Burris, Bob Burris, J.K. Reed and Charlie Norman.
