Services for Mrs. Mabel Inas Bacon of 2003 E. Edwards St., a Gold Star mother, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Kirlin and Egan Funeral Home. Rev. John Harvey will officiate.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Bacon was found dead at her home about 11:50 a.m. Thursday by her sons, Harry and Leonard who went to her home after failing to receive a response to a telephone call according to Coroner W.C. Telford.

She apparently died of natural causes and an inquiry will be held.

She was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church.

Her son, Warren, died June 11, 1943 while serving in World War II, and another son, Herbert, died Feb. 14, 1962.

Surviving are two sons, Harry and Leonard, both of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Alma Burroughs of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Melba Snodgrass of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Mann of Carrington, S.D. and Mrs. Elizabeth Cope of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
