Mrs. Balser Deitrick

Sophia Hunt was born in Coshockton county, Ohio, May 1, 1836, where she spent her early childhood. She with her parents moved to Clarke county, Iowa in 1856. January 29, 1860 she was united in marriage to Balser Deitrick. She was converted and united with the Methodist Protestant church 1889, being a charter member of the Fremont church and took an active part as long as her health permitted her to attend, she died April 6, 1908. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, one brother and one sister. The funeral service was conducted from the Fremont church Wednesday by Rev. H.D. Howry. Interment in the cemetery near by.

—The last will of Mrs. Sophia Deitrick was this week filed in the Clerk's office for Probate. The will is dated June 9, 1870, and is witnessed by Henry Stivers and George W. Holland. (page folded and one line unreadable) bequeath, grant and devise to my beloved husband. Baltser Deitrick, all my estate, real and personal, goods, chattles, rights, credits, lands, tenements and hereditaments, wherever altuated, either In possession or in expectancy to him and his heirs forever.

To All Whom It May Concern: You are hereby notified that on the 14th day of April 1908 there was produced, opened and publicly read by me in vacation of the District Court, an Instrument of writing, purporting to be the last will and testament of Sophia Deitrick deceased, late of Clarke County Iowa. And you are further notified that the 2nd day of the Sept., term, 1908, of said Court, viz Sept. 8th 1908, has been fixed for hearing proof of genuineness of said written instrument. At which time all persons interested shall appear and be heard. W. H. HARLAN Clerk of the District, Court Clarke
