-DEATH OF FRED HUNT:-Friends of Mr. Fred Hunt and family were grieved last Tuesday morning to learn that Mr. Hunt had died very unexpectedly. His death was caused by something resembling an abscess on the brain and he was sick only a short time. The funeral services were held at his late home in Osceola today (Thursday) at 10 o'clock. Rev. J. W. Smith delivered a sermon in the presence of a large assemblage of sympathizing friends.

OBITUARY

Mr. Hunt was one of Clarke county's pioneers. He was born in Coshocton county, Ohio, January 19, 1833 and was sixty-eight years, one month and seven days old. He came to Clarke county June 16, 1856 and located on a farm in Washington township, where he lived until four years ago when he moved to Osceola. He was married to Miss Margaret Delong December 9, 1860. He leaves the bereaved wife and three children, Riley, Ella and Duard, and three sisters and one brother to mourn his loss. His sisters, Mrs. Burt, of Madison county; Mrs. Emerson, of Afton, and Mrs. Balt Deitrick, of Osceola, were present at the funeral. The brother, Birney (sic), in Wisconsin, could not be present. Mr. Hunt was a man of strict integrity and industrious habits, well liked and popular among a large circle of friends.
