Jerry lived on his farm near George, Washington, from 1984 to date. Here he raised beef cattle and restored antique tractors and trucks. He was an avid toy collector and craftsman. His work was often displayed around the basin at fairs and shows for everyone to enjoy.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother Evalina Goings-Van Ness, his father George A. Van Ness and one brother Charles Van Ness.
He is survived by six brothers, George (Marge) Van Ness, Roy (Faye) Van Ness, Rob(Judy) Van Ness, Pede (Paul) Van Ness, Rod (Peggy) Van Ness, Joe Van Ness; his sisters, Phyllis (the late Marvin) Sharbano, Gal (Jack) Clark, Marrion Van Ness; his sons, Jeffrey and Jason; granddaughters, Trish, Teri, Stephanie, Caitlin and 10 great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside funeral at the Ronan Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. with reception to follow at the VFW in Ronan.
