SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky. — Jack Williamson, 91, of Sidney, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, in Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born Dec. 3, 1906, in Pike County, he was a son of the late Will Cochran and Polly Ann Brown.
He was also preceded in death by: son, Rush Coney Williamson; and eight brothers.
He was a retired miner and a member of Dix Fork Regular Baptist Church for approximately 50 years.
Survivors: wife, Aley Brown Williamson, Sidney; sons, Woody, John, Ray and Roy "Buddy" Williamson, all of Sidney, George Ed Williamson, Hardy, and "Hi" Larry Williamson, Charleston, daughters, Betty Rose and Ida Mae Reed, Williamson, Loretta Young, Brushy, and Janice Williamson, Sidney; brother, Garland Cochran, Williamson; and 31 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998, Hatfield Funeral Chapel, Toler, with elders of the Regular Baptist Church officiating.
Burial: Stanley Cemetery, Dix Fork Road, Sidney.
Visitation: after 6 p.m. tonight at the funeral chapel, services at 7 p.m. nightly.
