Funeral services were held at the Reformed Church in Maurice at 1:30 p.m. March 5 for William W. Bomgaars, 72, of Maurice, who died at his home March 2 after a long illness.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Gary Van Koeveren and burial was made in Sherman Township cemetery.
Mr. Bomgaars was born in Middleburg January 11, 1901. He married Rana Den Hartog January 7, 1926, in Orange City. They farmed near Maurice until retiring and moving into town in 1961.
Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Gerard (Adrianna) Mulder and Mrs. John Kamies of Orange City; two sons, William, jr., of LeMars and Howard of Maurice; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lewis De Koster of Orange City and Mrs. Anthony Slothouber and Mrs. Willis Vande Hoef, both of Boyden; and two brothers, Anthony of
Orange City and Arie of Cherokee.
