Atmore – Mrs. Edith Juanita Scroggins, 87, passed away Saturday, May 14. Funeral services were held Monday, May 16 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with President Andy Akins officiating. Graveside services followed at Johnson Cemetery.
Mrs. Scroggins was a native of Goodway, Ala., a former resident of Houston, Texas, for 30 years, and a resident of Atmore for the past 10 years. She attended the Atmore branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a member of the Ladies Relief Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Dero Scroggins. She is survived by three brothers, Floyd Johnson of Semirah Springs, Joseph Johnson of Columbus, Miss., and Dean Johnson of Goodway; and four sisters, Sarah Smith of Goodway, Colleen Maddox of Prattville, Helen Eadie of Tifton, Ga., and Joyce Akins of Booneville, Fla.
