He was a veteran of the US Army and served his country in Europe during WWII.
He was retired from the University of Florida, Plants and Grounds Department with 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Clytie B. Holder of Gainesville; sons Robert L. Holder (Cynthia) of Orlando, Florida; Curtis Q. Holder (Leatha) and Michael E. Holder (Anna) both of Gainesville. His grand daughters, Michelle Holder of Orlando and Lindsay Holder of Gainesville. Sister Amanda Ruth Holder, Joseph M. Holder, Leonard M. Holder and Ralph H. Holder all of Gainesville.
He is a a Christian.
He was a member of Alachua Lodge No. 26 of the Grand Lodge of Florida and was a Master Mason.
Services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home and internment will be at Forest Meadows Memorial Cemetery in Gainesville, FL.
