Ms. Wyona "Tina" Mills passed away April 5, 2009. She was born August 23, 1930 in Williston, Florida to Alice Ruth Tyner Anderson McGowan and Allen Morris Anderson. Ms. Mills was a member of the Edgewood Heights Baptist Church, Waldo Chapter 120 Order of The Eastern Star and she enjoyed her daily visits to the Hammond Senior Citizens Center.
She is a very beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
Ms. Mills is survived by: sons Robert L. Holder (Cynthia), Curtis Q. Holder (Leatha), and Michael E. Holder (Catalina); grandchildren Michelle Keels (Mark), Lindsay Swilley (Jeff), Zachary Holder, Daniel Holder (Amanda), Ashley Holder, and Whitney Holder; great-grandchildren Shelby Swilley, Nathan Fry, and Caydee Holder; and many nieces and nephews.
Ms. Mills was preceded in death by her parents,brothers Allen M. and Eugene Anderson, sisters Mazell O'Steen, Hazel McGowan, and Virgie Neal, and her long time companion Jesse W.Joyner. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 9, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Hardage- Giddens Town and Country Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, April 9, 2009 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to the Edgewood Heights Baptist Church or Northeast Florida Community Hospice. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32205.
