Homer Isbell Dies Suddenly

Homer Isbell, 54, of Rt. 2, Tuscumbia, died suddenly Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock.

Mr. Isbell was born in Colbert County and had resided in that county his entire life. He was a farmer.

Funeral services will be announced later, pending the arrival of a son from Germany.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Edna Deloris Isbell; five sons, Homer Gunter Isbell, Ray Isbell, Tom Isbell and Douglas Isbell, all of Tuscumbia, Rt. 2; and Pfc. Marsell Isbell, stationed in Germany; four daughters, Mrs. Josephine Oliver, Town Creek, Rt. 3; Mrs. Donnie Byrd, Miss Mary Jane Isbell and Miss Tina Mae Isbell, all of Tuscumbia, Rt. 2; three brothers, Will Isbell and Ulysses Isbell, both of Tuscumbia, Rt. 2; and James F. Isbell, Tuscumbia; three sisters, Mrs. Annie McClung, Mrs. Mammie McGreagor, and Mrs. Cynda Jeffreys, all of Tuscumbia, Rt. 2; and eight grandchildren.

Spry of Sheffield is in charge of arrangements.
