Ellen was the daughter of Daniel C. Quick and Hettie Neal of Johnson Co. Missouri. Based on census information she was born about 1868. She was 12 years old in 1880 census of Johnson Co. Missouri.

She married Jesse McGee on the 25th of April 1889 in Johnson Co. Missouri. I can find no record of a Jesse McGee any where near bouts to Johnson Co., MO. Before their marriage. After the marriage date, I can find no record of Ellen or Jesse. except that she is mentioned in the probate of her father who died in Aug 1889. She was willed about 160 acres on 19 January 1891.

Ellen had an infamous sister named Flora Quick Mundis who was a known horse thief, and perhaps did worse things than that. There is a lot written of Flora Quick, who had an alias of Tom King.

In a newspaper article;

Sheriff Painter received a telegram yesterday from Fredonia, Kan. signed by Sheriff H.S. McCray stating that Mrs. Tom Mundis, Alias Tom King, the famous Oklahoma female outlaw had been captured. The telegram states that the outlaw was in female attire and was accompanied by another female in male attire name Ettie McGee. The two women were in a camp near the city, having a well provided wagon and five fine horses in their possession. With the wagon was a heavy trunk full of fine jewelry and laces.
