Naomi A. Jensen, the daughter of Merton and Mary Elena (Hill) Jeffers was born in Bayliss, Illinois on December 11, 1902 and died in Aurora, Nebraska, on November 5, 2000, at the age of 97 years, 10 months and 24 days.

She grew up on a farm west of Aurora. Naomi graduated from Giltner High School and then attended York College. She taught at Verona School for many years.

Naomi was united in marriage to Edward Jensen on February 21, 1924 at Mankato, Kansas. All their wedded life was spent farming in Hamilton County. Edward passed away in 1975.

She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora and a long time member of the Verona Willing Workers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daugther, Fayetta; three brothers, Charles, Estyle and Dean Jeffers and five sisters, Vera Jacques, Doris Blackburn, Gladys Kirk, Freeda Snoberger and Bernice Spahr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gary and his wife, Patty of Harvard; four grandchildren, Jeff and his wife Deb of Phillips, Chris and his wife Terri of Atkinson, Vanessa Green and her husband Jim of Grand Island and Casey and his wife Julie of Aurora; sister, Marie Smith of Omaha.
