Justin Gerald Pugmire, 58, Salt Lake City, died Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at his residence of a coronary occlusion.
A Utah state road commission employee from 1941 to 1949. Mr. Pugmire had been a resident of Salt Lake City seven years.
He was employed in a smelter at Midvale from 1916 to 1929, working as a heater. Recently he had been employed by Linden and Stam contractors, Salt Lake City.
He was born Dec. 30, 1891 at Fish Haven, Ida., a son of Justin and Hannah Winterbottom Pugmire. On Oct. 16, 1912, he married Clara Barker in Paris, Ida.
Surviving are his widow, his parents, now living in Bellgradens, Cal.; five sons and two daughters, Earl Gerald Pugmire, Burbank, Cal.; Devearl B. Pugmire, Lakeside Ore.; Farrell M. Pugmire, Seattle; LaVon M. Pugmire, Haiaula, T. H.: Glen D. Pugmire, Murray; Mrs. Theora Hammer and Miss June F. Pugmire, Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren; the following brothers and sisters, Thomas A. Pugmire, Niles Cal.; Clyde G. Pugmire, Midvale; Norval J. Pugmire, Salt Lake City; Ross Pugmire, Sandy; Mrs. Betsy Steadman, Midvale; Mrs. Elenore Leeburt, Bell Gardens, Cal., and Mrs. Pearl Holden, Los Angeles.
