Able Seaman Leslie Farquhar Wilson (aged 29 years) - Service Number: D/JX 249879 who served in the Royal Navy (H.M.S. President III) was a DEMS Gunner on the s.s. Ashworth on its last voyage as a part of Convoy SC-104.

Whilst on route from New York, departing 3 October 1942, to Manchester Convoy SC-104 came under attack and the s.s. Ashworth was sunk by U-221 captained by Hans-Hartwig Trojer . The position of the sinking was 53° 05'N, 44° 06'W - Grid AJ 9146.

Able Seaman Leslie Wilson was the son of Joseph H. and Sarah Wilson, of Glasgow.
