Mrs. Ella Fern Wirsing, 72, Confluence RD 3, died April 24, 1969 at her home. Born December 16, 1896, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, she was a daughter of the late John Franklin Wirsing and Sarah J. (Younkin) Colflesh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Eston Wirsing.
Surviving are these children: Mrs. Louise Eleanor Koontz, Miss Helen Wirsing, Mrs. John Morrison, Donald Wirsing and Mrs. Ervin Graham, Confluence RD 3; Mrs. Llewellyn Shope, Uniontown; Theodore F. Wirsing, Greensburg; C. C. Wirsing and Mrs. Vernon Spear, Addison; and Mrs. Joe Schrecengosp of Pittsburgh; also 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She was a sister of Russell Colflesh, Miss Nellie Colflesh and Mrs. John Rodahaver, Confluence RD 3; Dr. J. H. Wirsing, Connellsville; and Mrs. Mary Shilling, Flint, Michigan.
Mrs. Wirsing was a member of the United Methodist Church, Confluence.
Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon in Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, Confluence, with the Reverend Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment was made in the Addison Cemetery.
