WEST COLUMBIA - Services for Marion Jackson Laird, 78, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Green Hill Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Hathcox, the Rev. David Laird and the Rev. Dr. B.I. Epting of Greevnille, with burial in Woodridge Memorial Park.
Mr. Laird died Thursday, August 9, 2001. Born in Orangeburg County, he was the son of the late Carey David and Eva Mae Shipes Laird. Mr. Laird was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II, serving in Italy. He was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church and the Roland Brown Sunday School Class.
He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Laird Mack.
