Survivors include a daughter, Annette Hendrix of West Columbia; a son, Billy Laird; two brothers: David Laird of Aiken and Robert Laird of Neeses; two grandchildren: Angel and Donald; his former wife, Bobbie Jean Laird of North; stepchildren, Nancy Dubose and David Fair; and a special friend, Herb Poole. He was predeceased by a son, Gene Laird, and a grandson, Chad Hendrix.
