Charlotte Irene (Damm) Korb, age 87, of Glendive, Montana, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care in Glendive. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor Stan Hoobing officiating. Interment will be held in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Charlotte was born on June 25, 1927 in Culbertson, Montana, she was a daughter of Peter and Katherine (Korb) Damm. She was raised and educated in Culbertson where she met her first husband, John Morin. John was tragically killed in a car accident in 1948. In 1949, Charlotte married Jacob Korb and together they moved to Fallon, Montana where they resided until 1954 when they moved to Glendive where they remained until their deaths.
Charlotte worked hard waitressing in her younger days and later in life she cleaned the high school and the nursing home. She also enjoyed helping neighbors by cleaning their homes when they needed help. Charlotte was a very hand lady that was able to tinker with anything broken until it was in working condition again. She loved gardening, sewing quilts, being in the outdoors and her pets; she raised dogs, rabbits and cats.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Katherine Damm; husbands, John Morin and Jacob Korb; brothers, John, Emmanuel, Henry and Fritz; sister, Carolyn; and grandson, Jim.
She is survived by her three daughters, Evelyn (John) Bjorness of Dickinson, North Dakota; Linda Korb of Glendive and Nancy Korb of Glendive; brother, Eddie Damm of Alaska; sister, Mary Stewart of San Angelo, Texas; grandchildren, Jeff, Julie, Virginia, Theresa and Chad; and great-grandchildren, Damian and Adia.
