She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a mission in the Netherlands and served as a stake missionary and temple worker.
Marie passed away from cancer on May 8, 1957. She was fifty-five years old. She was survived by her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
