A devoted wife and mother, she died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 84, a native of Belle Alliance and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting was at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at Winbourne Avenue Baptist Church, 9 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters and the Rev. James Nichols. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She issurvived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and Jerry Smith, Niceville, Fla., Barbara and Roy Moran, Waco, Texas, Sue and Ronald Harding, Nashville, Tenn., and Judy and Robert DuBos, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Ethel Evans, Baker, and Ureline Summers, Greenwell Springs; a brother, Claude Albarez, Rosedale; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Brown; her parents, Adam Joseph and Agnes Sanchez Albarez; two sisters and four brothers.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. She was a charter member of Winbourne Avenue Baptist Church.
