LAURA BELLE SCHIPULL

Laura Belle Yanney was born February 5, 1901, at Holder, Ill., the daughter of Jacob and Eliza Martin Yanney.

She was a graduate of Common School, Humboldt County in 1915, and also attended Webster City High School, Webster City.

She was united in marriage to Carl Frederick Schipull, of Goldfield, October 14, 1925, near Woolstock. They farmed in the Woolstock area for two years, before moving to a farm near Goldfield, where they lived until moving to Goldfield in 1953. Mr. Schipull died September 13, 1967.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the UMW, 50-year member of the OES, a member of the White Shrine, D.E.L.L. Club, Legion Auxiliary, and the D.O.C. Club.

Laura Belle Schipull entered the Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City June 18, and died there July 3, 1991, at the age of 90 years, four months, and 28 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Harlan; one brother, Moine Yanney; and a sister, Alberta Schroeder.

She is survived by two sons, Verne, Kansas City, Mo.; and Duane, Goldfield; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mary Beulah Schipull, Eagle Grove; Edna Rieg, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Clarence (Lavina) Iverson, Waterloo; and Mrs. Vernell (Wanda) Jacobson, Webster City.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Goldfield. A former pastor, Dr. George W. Den Har Tog, officiated. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

The Kastler-Babcock Services of Eagle Grove, were in charge of arrangements.
