HARRINGTON - Lewis Leroy Gilman, 74, passed away at EMMC on June 23, 2014. Born June 29, 1939, son of Marcia L. (Beal) Gilman and Guy Plasted Gilman, he was named for his Grandfathers Lewis Beal and Leroy Gilman.

Lewis was educated at the Jonesboro and Jonesport Elementary Schools until he lost his sight as a result of lead paint that he got into his eyes as a small child. Lewis got countless hours of enjoyment from his C.B. radio on which he was known as the Honey Bun. He also had many records and tapes which he listened to often. He lived the past 12 years at the Grace Home in Harrington because of his Mother's declining health.

He is survived by his sister Sarah G. Lenfestey and brother-in-law Myron C. Lenfestey, Sr.; nieces Lori A. Pritchard, Lorena L. Beal, Michele S. Johnson, Melissa L. Veith and Nephew Myron C. Lenfestey, Jr. and their families; one Aunt Lois Thistlewood; many cousins and countless friends and C.B. buddies; special friends Cindy Strout and the girls at the Grace Home that have cared for him over the years.

A graveside service will be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro with Pastor Charles Lakeman officiating. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes. (Bangor Daily News 6/27/2014)
