Ruth E. Fox, age 82, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope.
She was born on August 17, 1931 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Emmet L. and Gertrude (Cleveland) Freiberg. Ruth graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1949.
On August 7, 1954 she married Elmer F. Fox in Fond du Lac. She worked thru Manpower and as a secretary at Giddings and Lewis. She enjoyed working at Foxes Tavern and volunteering at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was a member of Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. Ruth enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, spending time at the cottage and spending time with her grandchildren.
SURVIVORS: her husband Elmer of Fond du Lac; one son, Gary (Amy) Fox of Terrell, TX; one daughter, Alicia (Paul) Schaeve of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Brett and Lauren Fox, and Alison and Braden Schaeve; three brothers, William (JoAnn), Eugene (Ruth), and Roger Freiberg; three sisters, Myrtle Trott, Doris Werner, and Jane Smet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother in law James Smet.
VISITATION: Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place.
Interment will take place at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, in Calvary Cemetery.
