Clovis F. "Spice" Bruce, 62, 210 N. Maple, died Monday morning at his residence.
He was born Jan. 20, 1908. He was a salesman for many years for the Monroe Tobacco Company. He was a member of the Moose and Odd Fellows Lodges and an associate member of the Fraternal order of Police.
He is survived by his widow, Elsie; two sons, Kenneth, Bloomington, and Richard, Albany, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Jimmie (Donna) Newman, Bloomnington; seven sisters, Mrs. Dora Cardwell, Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Josephine Belfree, Lafayette, Mrs. Essie Shields, Muncie, Mrs. Bessie Cain, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Delitha Cowden, Mrs. Ella Louise Bollinger, and Miss Bernice Bruce, Bloomington; and two brothers, A. A. Bruce, Indianapolis, and Delmar, Bloomington.
Services will be held Thursday at the Greene and Harrell Chapel with the Rev. Grester Kemp officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
