"Mr. Moses Tucker, formerly of this place, but who has lived near Oakland,
Warren county, for six or eight years past, died at his home last month. At one
time Mr. Tucker was quite a prominent citizen of Cave City, and was proprietor
of the Exchange Hotel. He was elected to the offices of City Judge, Town
Trustee and School Trustee as often as he would hold the positions. He was also
Post master at this place during Mr. Cleveland's first administration. He was a
generous hearted man, and no matter how great the sin may be that tripped him,
there yet remains in the recollections of our people a green spot for the
memory of kind-hearted Mose Tucker."
