James Andrew "Jim" Randles, age 81, was born on Aug. 19, 1894, in Brunswick, Missouri. He died on Jan. 1, 1976, in Cortez, Colorado, at Southwest Memorial Hospital 4:30 a.m. Mr. Randles was a veteran of World War I. He was married on Jun. 4, 1919, to Irma Louise Lewis. Mr. Randles, a retired rancher, had been a resident of the Montelores area since 1935. Funeral services are scheduled to be held in Cortez at 10:30 a.m. at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Dove Creek Cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Glen of La Junta, Elbert of Cortez, and Clifford of Chandler, Ariz.; two daughters, Viola Gilmore of Cortez and Exia Harding of Grand Prairie, Tex.; four sisters, May Avery of Hutchinson, Kans., Mabel Mussman of La Junta, Opal Curless of La Junta, and Zelma Cummings of Rocky Ford; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
