MARION---Douglas E. Stone, 72, of Wesleyan Healthcare Center (a nursing home in Marion, IN), formerly of Elkhart, died at 9:14 a.m. Monday (May 3, 1993) in Marion General Hospital.
He was born April 2, 21921, in Niles. Surviving are one sister, Kathleen Bienz, and one brother, Howard Stone, both of Elkhart; and a half brother, Walter Stone of Bristol.
There will be no visitation. A procession will leave Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Saturday for the 3 p.m. graveside service at Osceola Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Geshay of First Baptist Church will officiate.
Mr. Stone retired from New York central Railroad,
where he worked in the freight office.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Memorial may be given to any charity.
