Mr. Joe Mack Austin, 71 of Salem, AL passed away Friday, 13 Jun 2014 at his residence. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. (EST) Sunday, 15 Jun 2014 at Hopewell Cemetery with Pastor Bill Bryan officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. (EST) at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL.
Mr. Austin is survived by his wife, Brenda Austin, three children, Joe Austin (Sandy), Terry Austin, and Jill Windsor; four sisters, Billie Wayne Weekes, Shirley Ann Aaron, Patricia Meadows, & Cindy White; two brothers, Bobby & Randy Austin; 10 grandchildren, Hanna Austin Salter, Wesley Joe Mack Austin, Matthew Denson Austin, Kenzly Austin, Nora Austin, Cash Austin, Ethan Windsor, Corey Windsor & Mia Breland; and great-grandson, Harrison Salter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel Stewart Austin & Bob C. Austin, son, Jeffrey Earl Austin and a sister, Jeanette Irvin.
He was born in Chambers County, AL and retired from West Point Stephens Fairview Mill. He loved to garden and raised gaming chickens and was a member of The Bridge Church. He was a “most perpetual happy man.” www.johnsonbrownservicefh.com
