Mrs. Billie Wayne Austin Weekes, 76, of Valley, AL passed away on Tuesday, 11 Apr 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Weekes was born in Langdale, AL on 28 Jan 1941 to the late Washington Clyde Austin and Hazel Stewart Austin.
Mrs. Weekes was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church in Valley, AL. She enjoyed volunteering each month at Callaway Gardens. Some of her interests included reading, representing Avon and Avon products.
She and her late husband were former business owners in the Valley area. They owned and operated the House of Wheels in Valley and the Midway Café in Riverview.
She is survived by her children, Dwayne (Lori) Holmes, Valley, AL, Dale (Paula) Holmes, Valley, AL, Darren Holmes (Carol Jean Milstead), Tuscaloosa, AL, Samantha (Billy) Miller, Valley, AL; grandchildren, Elora Holmes, Brittany Christopher, Darian Holmes, Jarrod Holmes, Jonathan Holmes, Cori Cook, Seth Holmes; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bobby Austin, Pat Meadows, Shirley Aaron, Randy Austin.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. (EDT) Thursday, 13 Apr 2017 at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev Jonathan Herston officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL on Wednesday, 12 Apr 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. (EDT).
Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.
