Eduard Georg Wilhelm Maximilian von Anhalt, for a few months in 1918 the Duke of Anhalt. Son of Friedrich I. He married Luise, the daughter of Prince Moritz of Sachsen-Altenburg on 6 February 1895. He succeeded his brother Friedrich II but died himself after a short regency. He was in turn succeeded by his minor son Joachim Ernst under the guardianship of Aribert von Anhalt.

Originally buried in the Mausoleum in the Ziebigk section of Dessau, the remains of the last rulers of the House of Anhalt were taken secretly by night in 1958 for political reasons and reburied in the Ziebigker Cemetery in a common grave, marked only by a simple wooden cross. He was reinterred in the the Altargruft in the Marienkirche in Dessau in 2019.
