John Engelbrecht, 78, retired town of Two Creeks farmer and former resident
of Two Rivers, died early today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles
Lehman, Memorial Drive. He had been up and about as usual yesterday and his
death came unexpectedly.
Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed but will be announced
Thursday. The body was removed to the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home
in Two Rivers.
Mr. Engelbrecht was born at Maribel April 27, 1867 and was married to Miss
Dorothy Karkow 52 years ago.
The couple farmed in the town of Two Creeks until
1920 when they moved to Two Rivers. Mrs. Engelbrecht died in 1934. Until a month
ago when he went to live with his daughter Mr. Engelbrecht had lived in Two
Rivers.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Miller of Two Rivers and Mrs. Charles
Lehman, Memorial Drive; two sons, Henry of Two Rivers and William of Manitowoc
route 1; a sister, Mrs. Charles Schmoock of Two Rivers. There are some brothers
surviving but their names were not immediately obtainable.

Funeral services for John Engelbrecht, 78, of Two Creeks, who died yesterday,
will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Klein and Stangel Inc. funeral home
in Two Rivers and at two o'clock from the St. John Lutheran church. Burial will
be in Pioneers Rest cemetery.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
