Arthur Lee Branham was the son of James Headley Branham and Carrie Laura McDonald. He married Bessie Howard on December 25, 1910.

Their children:

1. Carlyle Branham born October 22, 1911.

2. Roy Lee Branham born January 31, 1913.

Arthur Branham Is Claimed By Death Saturday Evening

Illness of Many Years Precedes Death of Former County Farmer

Arthur Branham, 65, former farm owner of Switzerland county, passed away at the Madison State Hospital aobut 8 o'clock last Saturday evening, following an illness that had extended over a period of more than 30 years.

The deceased was a son of J. H. And Carrie McDonald Branham and was born near Worthville, Ky., on February 15, 1885. When a young man he removed to this county and was married to Miss Bessie Howard, with her two sons, Roy L. Branham, of Vevay, and Carlyle Branham of Dayton, Ohio, survive him.

He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Brandon, of Moorefield; Mrs. Mamie Lester, or Rising Sun; Miss Ruth Branham and Mrs. Nellie Moreillon of Cincinnati, and four brothers, Willie and Sherman Branham of Kentucky and Leonard and James of Lawrenceburg, Ind.

Mrs. Branham was a member of the Worthville, Ky., Baptist church and before he was stricken with illness, was known and highly respected by many friends in Bennington and Parks Ridge community.

The last rites, with Rev. Walter Peters officiating, were held in the Haskell & Morrison Funeral home at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon with interment being made in the Vevay Odd Fellows cemetery.

Arthur L. Branham, son of James Headley Branham and Carrie Laura McDonald, was born February 15th, 1885, in Owen County, Kentucky.

While still a young man, he moved with his family to Switzerland County, near Vevay, Indiana.

On December 25th, 1910, he was united in marriage to Bessie Howard Allen. To this union were born two sons, Carlyle Branham and Roy Lee Branham, who with three grandchildren, survive him.

The deceased was engaged in farming up to the time of his illness. He had been ill for a period of 33 years, when he was released by death on April 21, 1951.

He was a member of the Baptist church at Worthville, Kentucky, where he had resided for a time following his marriage.

In addition to his children and grandchildren, he leave to mourn his passing eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. Bertha Brandon, of Mooresville, Ind., Mrs. Nellie Moreillon and Mrs. Ruth Blythe, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Mamie Branham Lester, of Rising Sun, Ind., Leonard and James Branham of Lawrenceburg, Ind., William Henry "Willie" Branham, of Worthville, Ky., and Sherman Branham of Owenton, Ky., and several neices and nephews. Four other brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
