Andrew (Shady) Burgess, 55 years old, died Tuesday after an extended illness. He was a blacksmith and had formerly lived in Lewisville.
Survivors are the wife, Irene; three sons, Norman, Bill and Bobby; two daughters, Mary Lou Matthews and Joan Winchester; two brothers, Park and Joe; and one sister, Ruby Shinn.
Funeral services are being held today at the Fisher and Umbaugh Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
