Mrs. Irene M. Burgess of 1 1/2 (address # wasn't clear) West Main Street, 71 year old widow of Andrew Burgess, died Sunday morning after a short illness. Born in Dublin, she was a life-long resident of Wayne county.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Matthews of Monticello, Ky. and Mrs. JoAnn Winchester of Richmond; three sons, Norman of Cambridge City, Robert of Lynn and William of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. ?? Waddell of Webster and Mrs. Belle Ammerman of New Lisbon; a brother William Norman of Cambridge City and 14 grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Burgess were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fisher Mortuary with Rev. William Harris officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
