Leon 'Bing' Ahl, 75, died at 12:05 pm Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Beveraly Health Care in tell City.
A native of Tobinsport, he was born September 22, 1930, a son of Earl C. and Verna Dell (Miller) Ahl.
He retired in 1992 from Mulzer Crushed Stone where he had been employeed for 38 years.
He enjoyed playing cards, camping and taking his pontoon on the river.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Julia Gude Ahl; his second wife, Lillian (Shellenberger) Ahl; his third wife, Louise (Harding) Ahl; a son, Kevin Ahl; a stepdaughter, Joyce Bender; and two brothers, Kenneth and Earl L. Ahl.
Services were at 10 am Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Huber Funeral Home in Cannelton. The Rev. Paul Vaughn officiated. Burial took place in the Lamb Cemetery.

Leon had also worked at the Indiana Cotton Mill in Cannelton before it closed. Helped his father, Earl in a Tractor Supply Store in Cannelton where he was a machanic. He also traveled many miles picking up new equipment and delivering it to area farmers. Later he worked at several saw mills before starting work at Mulzer Quary in Derby, as a driver. His co-workers called him "Speedy". The Story heard over the years is that he drove very fast, having several wrecks. Thus.."Speedy".
