Steve retired from Best Chairs in Cannelton, where he worked in maintenance, and at Schwab Safe.
He loved to be at home in Tobinsport where he enjoyed riding his side by side to the river, with his dog alongside him. He also like to hunt and trap.
Surviving is Terri Ahl, Tobinsport; sons, Jason Ahl, Tell City, Steve Ahl (Mindy) and Jared Ahl, all of Tobinsport; grandsons, Isaac and Gavin Ahl, Tobinsport; sisters, Chris Lawalin (Kenny), Tell City, Cheryl Morton (Larry), Millstone and brothers, Richard Ahl (Joyce), Rome, Brian Ahl, Louisville and Phillip Ahl, Cannelton.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Kevin Ahl.
Per Steve's request, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest in Lamb Cemetery in Tobinsport
