L. Eugene "Gene" Schaub, 85, of 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Woodsfield, Ohio died Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield, Ohio.
He was born in Woodsfield, Ohio on August 17, 1922 a son of the late Fred and Belle Shorts Schaub.
He was a former employee for the Village of Woodsfield and served as a Monroe County Dog Warden for several years. He was also a Methodist by faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Guy Schaub and two sisters, Lillian Burkhart and Margaret Young.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 S.R. 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007 where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 with Rev. Robert Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
