Born April 11, 1924 to Samuel Richards and Maggie Leatha Wilding in Alta, WY. She was currently living with her daughter Margaret in Taylorsville, Utah and had been a "snowbird" in St. George for years.
Mom was preceded in death by her two beloved husbands. She married her first love Elden M. Day in Brigham City, UT which was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away September 3, 1966. She later married William A. Hansen who passed away February 8, 2000.
Her surviving family members are Margaret Dalley (Orien), Barbara Lewis, Kenneth Day (Debi), Duane Day and Janeen Landrum (Sean). She dearly loved her 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her brothers Dean Richard (Thora) and Lynn Richards (Deon) and sister Faye Nichols (Clyde). She also loved her extended Hansen family.
Mom was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in numerous capacities in the Primary and Relief Society. Her favorite calling was her mission in Hawaii with Bill. She loved to golf, do her craft projects and research genealogy.
Mom we love you and will miss your peaceful, gentle, loving nature. You were an example to all of us to not be judgmental and always look at life with a positive attitude.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 12, 2004 at 12:00 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy. Friends may call Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
