Jeanetta Foston Probasco was the daughter of Alex and Bettie Lewis Foston... For five decades, Jeanette Probasco, with a bachelor of science in home economics and a master degree from Prairie View A&M College and professional counseling certificate from the University of Texas in Austin dedicated her life to teaching and counseling hundreds of young people. Her teaching journey began in the 1941-42 school year with the Danville Consolidated School District at Fredonia High school, where she remained until the school district closed in 1958. In 1959, she joined the Kilgore I.S.D. and taught at C.B. Dansby High Schol. After integration in 1970, Jeanetta as a counselor; joined the Kilgore Junior High School staff and then the staff of Kilgore High school n 1977 remaining until her 1991 retirement. Jeanette joined the Fredonia Baptist Church of Kilgore, shortly after she was hired to teach in the Danville Consolidated School District, and remained a faithful member until her illness forced her to relocate with family members. She worked with many civic and community organizations. Final arrangements are entrusted to Gooden Funeral Home..
