David Wayne Horrocks is the son of Mary Bringard and George Owen Horrocks.

Dave's youth was spent tromping around Verland Park, now known as Layton Park. He cherished memories of growing up there. He was a 1968 graduate of Davis High.

He was an entrepreneur who owned a home construction business. Then using his artistic talents, he created a distinctive line of greeting cards, Muskrat Springs. His sense of humor and artistic talents blessed the lives of all that knew him.

Dave was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, fulfilling various church assignments throughout his life. He was a loving father who cherished time spent with his children, whether drawing pictures, building a playhouse, telling stories, or playing catch in the yard. He took pride in having built the homes his family lived in. There were few things he couldn't build, fix, or create. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, working on projects, and had an insatiable love of reading.

He is survived by five children; seven Grandchildren; six siblings and is preceded in death by both parents.
