Kelly Dale Webb, 80, of 436 Farmcrest Road, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Martha Adarnson Webb. Born in McCoy, Va. on May 27, 1925, he was a son of the late Marion Frank Webb and Ruth Lewis Webb. Mr. Webb retired from Universal Electric in Altavista and was a Navy veteran of World War II. During his retirement years, Mr. Webb diligently researched and documented his family's history and edited "McCoy, Virginia Remembered" a collection of family genealogies and memories of daily life in this southwest Virginia coal mining community. Proceeds from the sale of the book were donated to the Golden Years Club in McCoy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Jim Butler of Tampa, Fla.; three son and daughters-in-law, Michael and Lori Webb, Concord, Marshall and Monica Webb of Hampton and Matthew and Mitzi Webb of Gladys; a sister, Zana Albert of McCoy; a brother, Willis Webb of Christiansburg; and eight grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at the New Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
