Nevils - George "Swint" Waters, 72, died Oct. 6. The lifelong resident of Bulloch County retired from Shuman Construction as a heavy-equipment operator. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a Baptist. He was a member of Sinkhole Hunting Club, Thompson's Pasture Hunting Club, Lotts Creek Hunting, Bulloch County Dog Hunters Association and Bulloch County Sportsman Club.

Survivors: a brother, Waldo Waters of Statesboro; six sisters, Thera Nell Tanner, Annie Mae Motes anbd Myrtle Williams, all of Statesboro, May Williams and Frankie Waters, both of Savannah, and Zenta Lee Gross of Orlando, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home, burial in Deloach's Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
