Mrs. James C. Waters, 69, died late Saturday afternoon, November 21, in the Bulloch County Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Waters was a life-long resident of the Nevils community. She was a member of DeLoach's Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by five sons, J.C. Waters, Savannah, Vernon Waters, Swinton Waters, Thomas Waters and Waldo Waters, all of Statesboro; 11 daughters, Miss Melrose Waters, Miss Syble Waters, Mrs. Warren Williams, Mrs. Mark Tanner and Mrs. J.C. Motes, all of Statesboro, Mrs. Ronella McColler, Mrs. Haydon McCorkle, Mrs. Brooks Williams, Mrs. Henry Waters, Mrs. E.J. Rountree, all of Savannah and Mrs. W. L. Gross of Jacksonville, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Chancey Futch, Statesboro, Mrs. Manie Haygood, Savannah and Mrs. (remaining information missing from copy of obit)
