Mrs. Amidon was born May 18, 1879, in New Chester, Adams County, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Flint) Wing. She came to Clark County with her parents when she was eight years old. The family located on a farm in the Town

of Weston.


Her first marriage took place October 17, 1903, to Willard Moffat. Following his death she was married to George Amidon on March 21, 1916. They farmed in the Town of Hewett until their retirement and then moved to Neillsville.


She is survived by three step-children, Mrs. Glen (Hazel) Stevens of Wausau, Mrs. Francis (Blanche) Leininger of Madison and Clayton Amidon of Poynette; by five step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.


Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Georgas Funeral home for Mrs. Laura Amidon, 86, of Neillsville, who died March 21 in Neillsville. The Rev. W. C. Koehler officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The organist was Mrs. Jess W. Scott.


Pallbearers were: Robert Frantz, August Janke, Henry Wasserburger, LeRoy, Glenn and James E. Parker. People from out of town attending the service included Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stevens of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Leininger of Sun Prairie; Clayton Amidon of Poynette; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Parker of Black River Falls; Glenn Parker of Conrad, Mont.; and James E.
