Mary Emily "Emma" Wing Dent Smith Page passed away March 11, 1960, at the age of 93 in Portage, Wisconsin. Emma was born August 29, 1866, to Andrew and Almeda (Hartson) Wing in the town of New Chester, Adams County, Wisconsin. First, she married James Dent on December 19, 1881, in Neillsville, Wisconsin. Second, she married Charles Fredrick "Fred" Smith on May 24, 1882, also in Neillsville. Third, Emma married Charles William Page on August 19, 1908, in Muskegon, Michigan. At the time of her death Emma was survived by the children from her second marriage: son Charles and daughters Mary, Phebe and Viola; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; 8 stepchildren from her third marriage; and her half-sister Laura. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother Mary Jane Flint Forbush Wing; her three husbands; brother Martin; sisters Clara, Phoebe, Ida and Estella; a granddaughter Una May Smith; Twin sons who died shortly after birth on August 19, 1883; and a son and daughter Lorenzo and Carrie who were lost in a house fire on October 17, 1888, in Fifield, Wisconsin. Emma's funeral service was conducted by Rev. Walter Oelhafen of Montello, Wisconsin, on March 14, 1960, and she was laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery, Endeavor, Wisconsin.
