John Morris Sr. first married Anna ____ before 1664. He was married second to Elizabeth Harrison on 29 Mar 1665, with whom he had his son, John Morris (1666-1749). Thirdly John Sr. married Hannah Bishop on 12 Aug 1669, with whom he had his remaining children. This information from "Genealogy of the Morris Family; Descendants of Thomas Morris of Connecticut" Comp. by Lucy Ann Carhart, 1911, page 74.
[Leslie Lewis (#47394663)]

The information from p. 74 of Mrs. Carhart's 1911 Morris Family genealogy (see https://archive.org/details/genealogyofmorri00carh/page/74 ) has been shown by Jacobus's 1917 article "Morris Families of Western Connecticut" ( https://archive.org/stream/newenglandhistor1917wate#page/4/mode/2up ) to be incorrect, in that Mrs. Carhart conflated records of two different John Morrises as pertaining to the same person. Therefore, the John Morris buried in Newark was not the son of John Morris (1646-1711) who was buried in New Haven, Connecticut.
