[Leslie Lewis (#47394663)]
The information from p. 74 of Mrs. Carhart's 1911 Morris Family genealogy (see https://archive.org/details/genealogyofmorri00carh/page/74 ) has been shown by Jacobus's 1917 article "Morris Families of Western Connecticut" ( https://archive.org/stream/newenglandhistor1917wate#page/4/mode/2up ) to be incorrect, in that Mrs. Carhart conflated records of two different John Morrises as pertaining to the same person. Therefore, the John Morris buried in Newark was not the son of John Morris (1646-1711) who was buried in New Haven, Connecticut.
